Coke “Hidden Formula” Toad

I posted earlier the article at Motionographer about the coke commercial we did at Bent Image Lab. I thought I would share the toad I worked on. I did the model and textures. Galen Beals did the lighting when it's on the deck of the ship. The deck of the ship is actually a live set and the tribal guy on the ship is stop-motion doll.

Ye Olde Seafarer

Here's a little update on the head. Haven't had much time to work on it of late. I don't know when I'll pick this guy up again, but I'm pretty happy with where he is.

A revist to an old sculpt

I thought I share a work-in-progress of what I've been working on in my spare time. I have decided to finish up one of my old head sculpts I did awhile ago (you can see the old sculpt on my website). Well, I took the old sculpt and refined it, textured it, and added a hat and pipe. I still have a lot of stuff I want to do to this.
Technical Stuff: For anyone who knows me I'm a Vray user, but for this render I used Mental Ray (gasp!) Yes Mental Ray kicks Vrays ass in SSS. This render took a couple minutes with displacement on the hat and head, SSS on the eyes and head, fur (eye brows), and Depth-of-Field. This render would have taken a lot of time in Vray.
