Gladiator and Blur Projects

So some pretty cool things have happened to me recently I got top row on CGHUB and 3D total for my personal project I completed recently, which I posted below. It also seems that the Gladiator may be published in some up coming magazines and artist books, I'll keep you posted as that goes along.

I also set up a separate page for all the Blur projects I've worked. That will be updated as they are released. Recently at Blur I started doing some character work which has been a dream come true. I'll post that stuff when Im able to.

I'll try to keep this more up to date

Dante's Inferno Super Bowl

Been awhile since I've posted anything. I've been working at Blur for the past five months and it has been a blast! Lots of hard work but a blast none the less. Here is the Dante's Inferno Super Bowl ad. I Lit rendered and compisited Shots 1,2, & 4. I modeled the cave shaft to hell in shot 3. Click the image below to watch the ad. Blur also did all the in-game cinematics for the game. I didn't have any part in those due to the fact they were done when I got to Blur.

Enjoy!

Egyptian Chamber

More work and some news. So I'm working with Liquid Development on a game coming out next year, but on Oct 25th I'll be heading down to Venice Beach to to work at Blur Studio's on an upcoming game cinematic. I'm really looking forward to working at Blur Studio's, they produce some amazing work.

Also, some more personal work I've done that isn't a character.

A Tired Viking

Alright, I'm done with it. I took off the color(textures) and went with a sculpted look instead.

Hammerburst II

So, I thought I'd push myself a little and see how well I'd do modeling a gun, no less a Gears of War gun. I spent about 10-14 hrs on this bad boy. I put the concept from Gears of War below.

Some Things n' Stuff

I did a animation test with some zbrush sculpts. I did a couple of eye shapes in zbrush and animated them in 3ds Max. I may take this farther later but for now I thought I'd share.

Also a fun Zbrush Sculpt I did recently.

Viking! Update04

Thought I'd share my recent work. Not done with the modeling still some tweaks I want to perform. This is probably one of the more complicated models I've done, the scale mail is tough, still need to move those little guys around some more. So far I've only zbrushed the horse, his face, and arm sleeve. I do want to texture him but it could be awhile before I ever get around to that.
He's supposed to be sleeping on the job. I want to tweak his pose a little more to get that across, such as, having his head resting against the spear, and having him leaning over a little more on the saddle.

It's getting some attention at Zbrush Central - Link

Update 04
Here is a an update with some textureing work.

Don't go towards the light

So I've been doing this on my spare time and I think I've finally fished with it. the weird looking sea creature was inspired by Carlos Huante characters designs. This is the first time I used a lot of different render passes adn I thinked it worked out pretty well. Also, one of my first attempts at using mental ray.

3ds Max, Mental, Zbrush, Photoshop.
